What is the Red Letter Challenge?

ree

The Red Letter Challenge is a 40-day spiritual journey designed to help us live more fully by following Jesus' teachings and adopting “Red Letter Christianity.” The challenge is based on the words of Jesus, often printed in red in Bibles, and focuses on five core principles: Being, Forgiving, Serving, Giving, and Going. I believe this program will help us deepen our faith by not just reading the Bible but also actively applying Jesus' commands in our daily lives. Churches and individuals around the world have used the Red Letter Challenge to deepen their faith and live out the teachings of Jesus in practical ways. The Red Letter Challenge is how we are going to start 2026 as a church.

There are a few things we are going to ask you to do:

1.      First, we want to see you every Sunday during the challenge. It begins on Sunday, January 4th, and ends on February 8th.

2.     We want everyone to read the book, The Red Letter Challenge. We begin reading together as a church on Tuesday, January 6th, and the last reading is on Saturday, February 14th. The book costs $20 and is available in the Connect Corner. (New and Used copies are also available at Amazon. Click Here: https://amzn.to/3XXb8kA)

3.     We want everyone to be in a Small Group or Class.

We will have several options for being in a group. The Judson Class will go through the challenge on Sunday mornings. And there will be two to three other group meetings during the week. You can pick the one that works for you. Our youth and kids will also be going through a version of the challenge.

4.     Each day, you will be given a practical challenge to apply Jesus' teachings in your daily life.
