Our Beliefs
We are a Christ-centered community built on the unshakable truth of God’s Word. Our beliefs reflect our desire to know God, follow Jesus, and live by the power of the Holy Spirit. Rooted in Scripture, we affirm the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith, joyfully proclaiming the good news of salvation, grace, and eternal hope. Below is a summary of what we believe and why it matters.
We believe...
We believe in one God, who is creator and preserver of all things, and who is infinitely perfect -- existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, who are equal in power and glory, but separate in personality and work.
(2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Cor. 8:6)
That God the Father is the Godhead of the Trinity and is in Heaven. He is the loftiest Being who rules over all. He is Holy and Just. God is Love, and wants no one to perish. Therefore, He has provided a way for fallen mankind to be united to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is full of mercy and grace. He forgives us of our sins. He is Faithful and Just.
(Matt. 6:1; Is. 6:3; I John 4:16; John 3:16; Eph. 2:4; Heb. 4:16)

In the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by
the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died upon the
cross -- the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice. All who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He arose from the dead, as the scriptures predicted. He is now at the right hand of the Father as our Great High Priest. He will come again to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and peace and to consummate the eternal plan of God revealed through His Son -- the Word.
(John 1:1,2,14; Matt. 1:20-23; I Cor. 15:3-4; Mark 14:61-62; Heb 4:14)

That the Holy Spirit is the Divine Third Person of the Trinity, sent to indwell in us
and to daily guide, teach, and empower the believer. He also convinces the world of sin, of righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer. The gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit in the lives of believers are visible demonstrations of His presence.
(John 14:16,17; Luke 12:12; Acts 1:8; John 16:7,8; Titus 3:5; 1 Cor. 12:1,7;
Gal. 5:22,23)
That the Bible, the sixty-six canonical books of the Old and New Testaments, is the infallible Word of God. It is a divine revelation, the original autographs of which were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

That humanity was created in the image of God, and was tempted by Satan and fell, thereby incurring both physical and spiritual death. All people are born with a sinful nature and are separated from the life of God. They can be saved only through personal faith in the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Gen. 1:27; Eph. 2:1-9)
That salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all people who repent and believe in Him. They are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God.
(John 3:16)
That there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto eternal life with Christ; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgement and eternal damnation.
(John 5:28-29; Rev. 20:10-15)
In the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
(John 14:1-6 Rev. 19:11-17)
That the Church is an elect company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body. They have been commissioned by Jesus Christ to evangelize the world through the witness of every believer in Jesus Christ, to make disciples through the teaching of His Word, and to baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit as a means of accomplishing His commission.
(I Cor. 12:13; Matt. 28:19-20)
That there are two symbolic ordinances in the Lord’s churches: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Scriptural baptism is the immersion of penitent believers in water, administered by the authority of a New Testament church, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial ordinance practiced by those who have faith in Jesus Christ, done in remembrance of Him until He returns.
(Rom. 6:4; I Cor. 11:23-26)

We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself and should, by the power of the indwelling Spirit, allow Christ to manifest His life through him to God’s glory. By ever increasing obedience to the Word of God, each believer should mature and progressively become more like Jesus. In the power of the Spirit, each believer should live a holy life; not fulfill the lusts of the flesh; exercise his spiritual gifts to build up the body of Christ; witness for Christ; be personally involved in making disciples to fulfill the great commission; perform good works and bear fruit to the glory of God.
(Gal. 2:20; 2 Cor. 5:14-17; Rom. 6:11-13; Eph. 2:10, Eph. 4:11-12,22-24; 1 Pet. 4:10-11; Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:18-20;Col. 1:10; John 15:8, 16)
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God at the beginning of creation, as described in the Holy Scriptures. We affirm that marriage is a divine institution that reflects the relationship between Christ and His Church. We believe that God’s Biblical design for marriage is the lifelong union of one biological male, and one biological female. In accordance with scripture, we hold that marriage is not only a legal or social contract, but a sacred covenant bond created by God.
(Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:22-33, 1 Corinthians 7)
While we uphold the biblical view of marriage, we acknowledge the importance of grace, love, and compassion in our relationships with others. We seek to foster a community that honors the truth of God's Word, while also extending the love and forgiveness found in Christ Jesus to all people, regardless of their background or life circumstances.
We believe in the autonomy of the local church under the leadership of Jesus Christ and the direction of the pastor and whose members are those who have truly received Christ by faith. The purpose of the church is to make Christ known to lost people and to make disciples, and glorify God on earth (Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 12:12-27; Eph. 1:20-23, Eph. 4:1-6, Eph. 4:12-16; Matt. 28:18-20; Col. 1:24-29)
