A Thankful Heart

It feels like the fall has just flown by. I cannot believe that we are already in the month of November and preparing our hearts and homes for the holiday season. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love the season as it transitions slowly into Christmas. I love spending time with my family and that we have some time to just be together and enjoy one another. Thanksgiving also reminds me of what I am most thankful for, which is my family and my children. Nine years ago, a few days after Thanksgiving, we brought our twins home from the hospital. They were the very proof of so many answered prayers and we were bursting with love and overflowing thankful hearts.

The season of Thanksgiving also reminds me that God is always good, in all circumstances. There are always many things and people to be thankful for. I would like to thank all of the Kids Kingdom teachers and volunteers. I appreciate your time and your talent. I thank you for your flexibility and your support to our children's ministry this year. There is a Kids Kingdom because of your commitment and love for the children of our church and our community. My heart overflows with thankfulness for each of you.

I hope that you are able to take some time this month to rest and reflect on the goodness of God. "Praise God, from whom all blessings flow." Happy Thanksgiving.
